2. What this policy covers

This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you visit lidarflow.com, use the LidarFlow web application, or contact us. It does not cover third-party sites or services that we link to.

• Account data: email address and authentication credentials when you sign up or sign in.
• Usage data: pages visited, feature usage, and interaction events to help us understand how the product is used.
• Upload data: rosbag, MCAP, and other files you submit for processing. These are stored so the pipeline can run and so you can download results.
• Communications: emails or support messages you send us.
• Technical data: browser type, IP address, device type, and crash reports.

4. How we use your data

• To provide, operate, and improve LidarFlow.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To run the reconstruction pipeline on the recordings you upload.
• To respond to support requests and send service-related notices.
• To analyze product usage and fix bugs.

5. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data on the basis of performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security and product improvement), and consent where required (for example, non-essential analytics cookies).

6. Data storage and retention

Data is stored through our hosting and backend providers. Recordings and results are kept for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.

7. Third-party services

We use a small number of subprocessors to run the service. Current categories include:

• Cloud hosting and database services (Lovable Cloud).
• Product analytics (PostHog).
• Authentication and email delivery providers.

We do not sell personal data. We only share data with processors that help us operate LidarFlow and that are bound by appropriate data protection obligations.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and analytics. Analytics help us understand which features are used and where the product breaks. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and row-level security in the database. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
